FOLLOW DANILO IN REAL TIME

A solo alpine climbing without the use of supplemental oxygen on Shisha Pangma, the 14th highest peak in the world at the height of 8027 meters.

Its name means “the range above the grassy plains” (shi sha sbang is a Tibetan word), the place of God (Gosainthan is a Sanskrit word) and is located in the Himalayas in the south-central part of Tibet in the middle of the arid plateau. I will attempt this solitary climb along the north side, , following the Ochoa route, opened in 2006 by the strong Spanish mountaineer Inaki Ochoa, who died in 2008 during an ascent of Annapurna.

Once I’ve descended the mountain, I will ride my bicycle a total of 4,500 kilometers through Nepal and India. I will cross huge mountains, desolate deserts, chaotic cities, endless beaches and long rivers… lands rich in different cultures and religions, spicy smells and scents.
